When I first saw Elips, I was very impressed with their concept. However, after digging through their forums a bit, it seems that they do not seem to understand the potential of their product, and are unwilling/unable to provide full support for the basic features in Flash player. For instance, people were asking about supporting rotation. The response was 'Why would you want to do that?. Ditto for other features one would expect to be supported. Their reason for not supporting matrices was that it was too difficult to do. It seems they see AS3 as merely a way to script in pre-baked UI components. Kinda misses the point.
